Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

I started my activism from school but after joining different organizations working for health issues found that as an Activist I have to work on health issues. Since 2008 I worked with youth led initiatives, organizations and networks globally who are focusing on reproductive health rights, gender issue and population welfare. I found HRO and later make it “Tabeer an Initiative for youth and sustainable development” . My initiative focusing on FP reproductive health issues.. I have published my 3 articles abstracts with International Congress on AIDS ASIA PACIFIC ICAAP11 Thailand , 7APCSHR Philippine , International Conference on Interdisciplinary Social sciences 2014 Canada. I am an activist & Advocate for Reproductive Health & Youth Rights.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

By working wit YPEER and CDA I found that FP & RH is a neglected issue in my province specially, young people and community have no information regarding their health issues. There are so man taboo's regarding its education and program implementations. So I started work from my community with young people and its lead me to be an activist for RH and Youth Rights.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your family planning efforts, and what have you done to overcome it?

There were so many issues not only from family side but also in community. But I start dialogue and discussions with young people initially. I convinced my peers, family and different community activists by giving them awareness , sharing them materials and also inviting them for different seminars which helped them to understand the topic and supported me for my mission and my activism.

What is your (country/region/city)’s biggest challenge in family planning, and how can it be addressed?

In my province specially there are very less friendly centers where women and young people can visit and get right information bout their health rights. The topic is still sensitive to add in curriculum of Educational text books. Women are very less economically independent & so they can't deiced about their children birth. There is not a good mechanism of awareness about health issues in community.

What do you want to accomplish in the next 5 years?

I want that in Pakistan there are such policies in Pakistani courts & Laws which protect health rights. There are such centers which promote and engage young people for awareness regarding health issues. There are such writers who write their drama's and novels on this topic. I want in 2020 every person in my community know about their health rights specially young girls & having access information regarding health rights.
