Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

I am a family planning advocate. I mainly focus on SRHR and Child Marriages. I advocate youth on family planning issues through workshops at the community level and online tools social media and blogging. I am founding director of a youth-led organization and a global youth blog. Through my youth driven organization we advocate young people and women on FP issues, and through my blog, we discuss and raise issues around the world. Currently, I am Country Coordinator at International Youth Alliance for Family Planning. Through the platform of IYAFP, I am rising Family planning issues of my region at the global level. I contributed at policy platform at the national and local level and to Women Deliver 2013, ICAAP11, AIDS 2014 and AIDS 2016.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

I believe family planning is a fundamental human right. Everyone should be free to decide for physical relations and having a child. The injustice regarding your choice for a relationship gave me a passion for working with Family Planning. I want to give youth a healthy sexual life with liberty to take decisions.Biggest challenges I faced are religious misconceptions and cultural taboos. I overcome them with logic and facts.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

I am honored to be a member of expert advisory community FP2020. I am also the initiator of Youth Health Friendly Helpline which is a social media-based youth helpline to advocate young people on SRHR and FP issues. I am also a young Sports for Development leader. I use sports for advocacy, health promotion, and development of youth. I founded Kafka Welfare Organization to give youth a better and healthy life. I am also the initiator of KWO's Child Marriages campaign.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

Recently, my organization initiated a social media youth helpline. I will use this platform to enhance outreach and beneficiaries of this project. I will also focus to build the partnership for this project. Through funding, we will organize weekly sessions with young people to promote our idea and to involve youth in the discussion on FP.
