Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

I was involved in building the capacity of 500 health workers in Benue State Nigeria on the use of contraceptives . I also build the capacity of 50 women on the use of modern contraceptives and its benefits

What sparked your passion for family planning?

As a young man , I witnessed my sister having her 10th child and eventually lost her life in Child birth. This i vow to take family planning /use of contraceptives to every house in my community.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your family planning efforts, and what have you done to overcome it?

Cultural and religious belief is one of the factor hindering the uptake of contraceptives and in order to tackle this i mobilized traditional rulers and religious rulers and build their capacity on important of family planning

What is your (country/region/city)’s biggest challenge in family planning, and how can it be addressed?

Government inability to allocate more resources to Family planning, this can be addressed through advocacy and establishment of basket fund for family planning.

What do you want to accomplish in the next 5 years?

To help government established a basket fund for contraceptives & Family planning commodities through contributing large amount of resources to contraceptives
