Being a young Zambian youth activist singer, Most of my programming has been child and youth centered that is focused at communicating change messages in Sexual Reproductive Health, Child Rights as well issues seeking to improve the health status and general well being of adolescents, young people, women, and youths in Zambia. I got comprehensive Sexual Reproductive Health Rights information and training from Africa directions and, I am now sharing the information and skills acquired from the organization to sensitize fellow young people in sexual people in sexual reproductive health and rights. I use music, radio and television production to raise awareness on various issues affecting young people, youths and women. I always taking action when there is a call for help especially for girl

What sparked your passion for family planning?

What sparkled my passion to family planning is the increase in fertility and unplanned birth rates which are high in my community and Zambia at large, and most of the times these births are unwanted only by women and adolescent girls. Every times I saw Many adolescent girls who become pregnant leave school and were forced to get married because no one would take the responsibilities of taking care of the baby and the mother. And I realized the long term implications for them as individuals.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

I am reaching out to people living with HIV, girls and women, in my country and beyond. I have been using the information, skills and experience acquired during the different conferences, workshops and sessions to perform my duties as a Youth leader to enhance my work advocating for a good approach and general wellbeing of the vulnerable people especially women and girls leaving with HIV, adolescent girls on SRHR. I have created trust in girls and parents because my story is part of people.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

My wish has always been to save my nation and the world at large, using different platforms in reaching out to children and young people, I will continued to demonstrate commitment to dealing with the reduction of child marriage, and tackling the issues of teenage pregnancies which is the leading cause to unwanted pregnancy, unsafe abortion and through several interventions and I will use the money to support girls with information on family planning and sexual reproductive health information.
