Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

Over the past months,I have gladly and passionately visited a lot of towns to educate individuals, groups and organisations on the importance of family planning,it's associated benefits, and the need for individuals to choose a family planning method. With the help of a the partner clinics affiliated to my current organisation,I can boldly and gladly say I have been able to urge about 300 individuals to choose a family planning methods and success service uptake also.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

The teen age pregnancy, maternal mortality rate as well as death as a result of abortions is at a higher rate in my region.
Lack of knowledge and ignorance on the part of many has caused them to be in situations that they wished they could have simply prevented. There and many more has made me grow my passion to go out each day to carry the family planning message across borders to help curb thesee disturbing issues in my region.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

1.Education on the field are not solely led by me till the end but it'seems always an interactive discussion where individuals of more knowledge and insight about family planning are given the opportunity to also lead coconversations as well.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

Difficulties in sometimes accessing some towns has been a challenge and so if am given the opportunity to make use of the said amount in advancing my work,I will gladly embark on many rural sensitisation by carrying out activities with family planning services with the use of information vans that can reach such areas. The use of radio which to me is a powerful tool in this project will also be used in educating our listeners also so as to help crack open the many misconceptions regardingFP
