PIP budget of Rajasthan from 405 lacs in 2007 to 1400 lacs in 2017. Implemented Contraceptive Logistic MIS to ensure availability of FP Commodities. Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

Bringing down TFR from 3.2 (NFHS-2005-06) to 2.4 (2016).
Implemented Contraceptive Logistic Management Information System for FP commodities.
Facilitating the Department of Medical Health & Family Welfare in planning to introduce new contraceptives and to implement Mission Parivar Vikash for high fertility districts.
Developing tools and mechanism for program implementation and to achieve the FP2020 goals

What sparked your passion for family planning?

Family Planning is recognized as the most cost effective health intervention and is directly connected with the optimum utilization of existing natural resources. Family planning counselling on right age of marriage, delay the early pregnancy , spacing between births and limiting the family size the most important strategy to reduce Maternal & Infant deaths.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

Creating pool of front line health workers for home delivery of contraceptives.
Developing Counselling Corners at high delivery load facilities.
Creating pool of service providers for providing Family Planning Methods with quality and care.
Implementing online monitoring tool for line listing of clients, follow up mechanism and to ensure availability of FP commodities up to last mile.

To improve accessibility and availability of family planning commodity and services in under-served and hard to reach areas.
