Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

Rokonol Rabbi,Link Up focal point of Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA) has started working with Link Up project since 2014,I took part in young key population's health who are most marginalized in societies.Young people always face discrimination in accessing family planning services.I have been involved in program implementation,Facilitate training.I helped young people from GBT community to get health services and make the service more youth friendly and non-judgmental.After three years of the project biggest achievement I can see now we have a youth platform,a group of young people who are from diverse community,now they are much concern about their health,Their rights and disseminating SRHR information within the community.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

As a youth living in a country where family planning, sexual and reproductive issues kept hidden and talking on this things mean sinful,young people face this most in every societies. As I saw community people always seeking help on their health and sexual issues, and there are no youth friendly service for young people who are from to marginalized community. Though as a community we believe health for ll and it is our responsibilities, That sparked my passion to get involved in family planning.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your family planning efforts, and what have you done to overcome it?

We have faced young people denied from health service providers,lack of information and knowledge on SRHR.Young people from key population always faced discrimination and stigma at health service center,many avoid to go for doctor if he/she is sick and need check up.To overcome this situation we have sensitized service providers about community people and young MSM people.Several time we have involved young community member to monitor at community.Service provider's behavior now changing.

What is your (country/region/city)’s biggest challenge in family planning, and how can it be addressed?

1.Creating health seeking behavior, 2.Stigma and discrimination, 3.Ensure youth friendly and non-judgemental family planning services. These are the most biggest challenge in this region. It can be addressed in a way, 1. Need strategy to ensure comprehensive sex education, 2.Social mobilization and campaign to address stigma, 3.Training for all service provider's about treat patient as human not on their sexual orientation, gender identity. 4.Involvement of more youth in development activities.

What do you want to accomplish in the next 5 years?

The next five years I want to accomplish,Youth are leading in family planning activities and getting involved in.Easy accessing for all in health center without judge on age and gender identity.Young MSM and GBT people get information and service on SRHR.No maternal death and well equipped of reproductive health supplies at community level.Every woman have the choice whether she want child or abortion.
