Given my 10 years working experience as reproductive health & rights activist in different civil society organizations targeting youth, I have delivered more than 30 training sessions advocating for better reproductive health practice & encouraging girls for making their own decisions based on knowledge .
I believe that training is the driving engine of spreading knowledge and skills which consequently improve attitude & behavior of communities, successfully I was able to communicate with all shades of people and spreading awareness among more than 1000 female.
I gained the deepest experiences in family planning through working with Population council team on implementing evidence based family planning project that worked on 3 stations; spread awareness, counseling & service providing.
I was leading a discussion about role of media in spreading awareness about family planning, when one of the reporters asked why the government care about fertility rate instead of offering higher services?
That's sparked my attention, we need different approach to promote for reproductive health, we aim to have every born child to be planned and wanted. However, limiting unwanted pregnancies in Egypt will decrease fertility rate by 20%. It's win win situation.
I led a series of training sessions in rural and urban communities in my country.
I led training sessions to engage men and youth in reproductive health awareness.
I worked as head of primary health care center where family planning counseling and services were provided.
I will invest in education. I have a dream of creating summer school for preparing young leaders of both sexes, through which they will get perfectly planned program, to be well armed with knowledge and skills to promote for eradicating unwanted pregnancies and encouraging family planning programs.
