Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

I have referred over 1000 people to primary health care facilities nearest to them to access family planning services with completed referral cards picked up at the facility as proof. With adolescents and young women as the largest number. Which has gained me four awards as a Get It Together Mobilizer from the Local government area I worked in, in my state.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

The large number of children that are not cared for by their parents due to a large family size with little or no income, out of school adolescent girls with children they can not take care of because they don't know how to, and the suffering and malnutrition their babies are in,the truama and pain I see in unplanned Parent- hood and the peace of mind I see in familes that their children are spaced, in my neighborhood sparked my passion for family planning. And not forgetting marternal death too.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

.By approaching potiential clients politely, listening to them patiently and attentively as they tell me their misconceptions and believes about family planning without argueing with them.
.By taking time to explain to them facts about family planning without imposing it on them but trying to convince them to go for the services and thanking them if they accept or decline without anger or fighting them even when the reject the IEC material I offered.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

I'll create a safe space for adolescents boys and girls in my community, where issues arround relationships and contraceptives will be discussed and they'll be provided with the right information at the end of the sessions with the help of a FP young provider. Ideas on trade will be shared by those with handwork for others to learn. Those willing to take up any FP services will be supported with transport fare, because they prefer going to facilities they are not known to access FP services.
