Nagwa implements raising awareness program with rural areas' women in Egypt towards the recurrent pregnancy in order to birth of a male child. She used to raise awareness of the target group about the risks of repeated pregnancy and gender equality. – Nominator
Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

* Raise awareness of 360 vulnerable women in 3 different rural communities in Egypt on SRHR and how to use different kinds of contraceptives during 2018
* Organize workshops with Christian and Muslim religious leaders aiming to reduce domestic violence against women
* Produce media products with specific messages to raise awareness about women rights
* Produce media productions about HIV/AIDS

What sparked your passion for family planning?

* While I was on a voluntary medical convoy I met a brilliant special needs girl and discovered that it was according to lack of oxygen during birth! On that day I decided to study about safe pregnancy and SRHR
* Direct contact with vulnerable women in the field had sparked me more to work in FP as most domestic violence happens because of economic deficiency which is mainly resulted from repeated pregnancy and unmet family needs according to the big number of family members.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

* More than 8 years of experiences in FP through voluntary medical convoys
* 4 years of professional experience as a project manager for women empowerment projects in the Egyptian society
* I am a member in the Egyptian National Council of Women where FP counseling and services provided

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

I will produce visual illustrative tools that are easy to be used by illiterate women who can't read to raise their awareness about family planning and reproductive health.
I will use Media as an advocacy tool to influence decision makers and key persons as religious leaders to pay more attention to SRHR for women specially in rural areas.
