Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

I have been engaged in family planning services with a motive to prevent unwanted pregnancies and reduce MMR in the region due to frequent pregnancies and unsafe abortions, Introduce a new inject-able contraceptive Sayna Press first region in a Asia/ Pakistan which allows self-Injection to client. conducted districts sectorial monitoring through out sindh,worked on demand creation of FP, mobilize government community and other stack holders, Improved Role of community worker for outreach services for Family Planning in Rural Areas of Sindh. Conducted strategy survey in 2014- 2015 and 2018 to achieve SDG’s (Sustainable development Goal) in 92 villages of 22 districts of Sindh. In a result Sindh regions increase CPR from 29.4 to 30.9 and reduce unmet needs from 20% to 17%.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

My Own cousin died giving birth to her 3rd child in the age of 24 only, she use to live in remote village where access of FP contraceptives never been imagined even, "this broke my heart in part". Every day approximately 830 women die from preventable causes related to pregnancy in developing Countries.Growth rate of Sindh is 2.4%. I see family planning is a basic right of every women,Being a tiny player in FP this makes me passionate to work vulnerable ,under-served people.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

I Strengthening Government Leadership in Family Planning providing meeting platform, involving them developing plans to introduce new contraceptive methods like Sayana Press. I always been engaged in Mobilizing male opinion leaders, create support for family planning from lead implement to community level. engaging youths, political leaders and other stakeholders for FP in routine and during field visits. Organize activities, meetings, workshops and consultations and produce event to support FP.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

I will arrange events for community workers to empower women right based family planning
Arrange advocacy events to Increase access to remote and under-served areas for promoting FP knowledge
Develop client cohorts for research purpose of newly introduced contraceptive method
Organise meetings/ training events to Involve all stake holders, enables and strengthening the capacity of agencies, organizations, community and service providers through promoting and share updated knowledge on FP
