More than 1000 private facilities accredited and over 750 providers got empanelled here

What sparked your passion for family planning?

I am the eldest child of an adolescent mother who brought me to this world at the age of 16 and same had happened with my grandmother. Early marriage and early pregnancy were social norms. I was trapped with the same too. I asked but couldn’t get answer that why women not able to unleashed their full potentials? I strongly realized that various paths of value systems to be addressed to make people understand that contraception not only saves lives, it built lives, fulfil dreams.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

1. I am the lead of 30 hour magic plus a BUISNESS UNUSAL approach in TCIHC India which brings noticeable impact just after 30 hours in a city where family planning almost nil visible and this strategy thrilled the entire public health system with its result .
2. capacitated more than 5000 IPC agents on contraception and FP as a result they are champions now in most of the family planning programs across the country
3. brought innovative approach in UHI in outreach & communication segment

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

Will utilize $1000 for 5 underprivileged adolescent girls I identified in Odisha, MP and UP. I will be part of & contribute in all learning forums given through this platform with evidence based notions and invest my brain and skill along with other resources around to develop innovative and creative tools to engage adolescent and youth in urban slums on SRH information and services. Would create AY champions and leaders in urban pockets of India
