Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

As a biomedical scientists involved in women and child health, I have help in the fight against community acquired infectious disease among children under five years. My contributions to family planing was born out of passion to see that mother and child are in good state of health. As a result to achieve this goal I run a social media platform called @365 days women fertility and family planing where many couples take to for advice on the best way to plan their birth and achieve pregnancy when needed with good result coming in.
Periodic visit to antenatal clinic in primary health centers,Religious homes and rural community on a rotational base where I reach up to 100 women and men monthly with Advocacy campaign on the need and importance of family planing.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

Many young children in my community are out of school due to inability of their parents to care, cloth and pay their fees. These out of school children most times have infections that commonly should be prevented through proper parental care.
These children have right to proper and normal life if their parent had not have so many children to care for. This is one of the reasons I took to family planing advocacy campaign.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

My leadership role in the Advocacy campaign monthly outreaches is providing a simple to read and understand illustrations to couples on how to space their children.
Communication skills, my ability to communicate to husband and wife without blame game from each pattern.
Encouraging the men to take the lead in planing their home has help in bringing peace and understanding.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

Many young adult females in the rural community are faced with the shame of early pregnancy as a result of out of wedlock. When name among the winner for this year, I will Chanel the support fund for payment for accommodation a two bed room apartment where women can be attended to and taken for counsel on the choice of family planing that will be suitable for every couple and the apartment will serve as our advocacy center to reach more people and also carry out social impact on women's health.
