Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

My contributions in family planning lead me becoming a founding member of the Informed Choice Foundation Ghana.Providing individuals better guidance and counseling on both clinical and non-clinical methods of family planning as well as a comprehensive peer education on Reproductive Health, we have been able to touch the lives of over 1500 peers and hoping to reach 5000 people by the end of 2018.This, my team and I have devoted to and continue to do so until we touch the lives of all manner of persons globally irrespective of their ethnic or religious affiliations the needed information to better their lives and take them out of their misery of pain and provide a smile that gives them hope to be empowered

What sparked your passion for family planning?

I decided to become a family planning activists and a peer educator to my peers especially and make them understand the various causes of these STI’s and how they can be prevented as well as encouraging them to practice safe sex and abstinence if possible. The passion to do this happened based on a personal experience I witnessed a friend went through with an STI infection. I felt he might have made an informed choice about his sexual life if he had access to SRH information.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

My leadership in my family planning career has seen me become the treasure of the YAM a youth wing of the PPAG. In all this endeavors, I was always a group lead for the organization during all workshops in the community which were in the forms of community outreaches, mobile clinic events and as also a key part of their Radio Peer Education program. I currently play a key role in leading efforts with my team in the research of new ways of making family planning more interesting to people.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

I will need funds to open up the research and innovative space of my organization which is solely funded by myself and my team , it will help us come up with more innovative ways to make family planning more easily accessible and fun with no barriers. This will enable us organize events in over 100 obscure communities with a 24 hour referral services and be able to come out with more Behavioral Change Communication materials that will send the right information to all manner of people.
