Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

Since 1990 I starting working on development works in the rural and community level. The gained experiences from the field level help me in achieving the family planning. Therefore, I established an organization which are directly involved the communities and the staff are all youth for doing effective service delivery. Therefore, my instruments for achieving on the issue are communities and youth who are working with me besides stakeholders and funding agencies.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

The positives change and impact on the interventions made spark to passion me regarding the family planning.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your family planning efforts, and what have you done to overcome it?

The illiteracy, hilly and remote, backward and inaccessible areas are the more challenges in reaching the information and communication very oftenly and also required huge monitoring and supervision costs.

What is your (country/region/city)’s biggest challenge in family planning, and how can it be addressed?

I am in Bandarban Hill Tract, Bangladesh. The low literacy and illiteracy, bad transportation and communication with community level, poverty, lack of knowledge amongst communities and violence against women are the biggest challenges. Although I have had good acceptance and relationship with all them and make a plan directly their participation following the bottom up. Because all things should be changed by their own way and KOTHOWAIN just take the responsibility to facilitate them

What do you want to accomplish in the next 5 years?

More women empowerment, economic development, leadership, women rights establishment, gender equality, institutionalization and cooperative
