Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

I have always been enthusiastic about research in family planning, as a peer educator and SRH Activist I have reached more than 50 newly wedded couples living in Lahore, delivering information on Family Planning and child birth spacing. To evaluate challenges and perceptions on Family Planning in Pakistan, I am involved in advocacy process, I was also part of the first Family Planning Android App “Bridge the Gap’’ under the project of Women deliver. I had also presented my Poster at International conference on Family Planning 2018.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

I belongs from regressive part of Lahore where I can witness that people pushed their daughters in the force marriages then they had two babies before the age of 20 as early marriages trends in Pakistan. Although the family-planning services are available in Pakistan but generally people feel shy to reach basic contraceptives which are pocket friendly in the market

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

I conducted numerous community event and health camp grounds about the awareness of family planning. I played pillar role in the process of first Family planning android App (Bridge the Gap) with an organization Mashal under the Women Deliver. Now I am doing counseling of newly wedded young males about family planning and child birth spacing.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

I am working on a website with the title of “www.ehealthplanning.com” where the authentic information with means of virtually designed material will be shared in local context so we will discuss SRH and FP related issues, so people can take healthier decisions about their life. I will use this amount to create awareness about services in local context with the help of a competition which will be conducted with video makers, their content will be helpful to understand the concept of FP issues.
