Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

Through different campaign I did in my community both on health, financial education, business startup. We have come up with able society, that know the importance of family planning and why uncontrolled pregnancies lead to unhappy family and disabled community. Our focus was encouraging youth and women on how to be basic changes in their community through starting home based business and provide health food supplements to their loved ones as a way to reduce issues associated to malnutrition. And as the cost is high there they monitor how having big family with low revenue affect the well being of all. We have so far trained 100 families and we are expanding quickly to reach out more as feedback from trainees showed that we are making big impact in building capacity of homes.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

Having born in a big family of over 12 siblings coupled with growing in rural areas added to struggles of finding basic necessities of child have pushed me to stand and fight for good. My working environment have also influenced me as I usually meet similar families meeting financial struggles due to uncontrolled pregnancies leading to poor family planning.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

Having trained over 10 youth to stand for good and represent our initiative in our country voluntary is one of the example
We are also having an expansion plan country wide and regionally which will turn our initiative into a charity.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

Having won this grand and become a nominee is one of the step to the growth of our initiative. we shall have more trainers from 10 to 30 country wide and we shall build online compains to enhance our work. I am sure that with 120under40 program we shall gain more leadership skills and shape our initiative on how we can take it to the next level.
