What sparked your passion for family planning?

given that am a victim of teenage pregnancy, which almost destroyed my future. if then at the university i new about family planning i would have not given birth at that age. because it has turned me to be a single mother. it was not by choice it was unwanted pregnancy. since i started work i have been an advocate FP and gender and when i got an opportunity of being advocacy in DSW i got the opportunity and platform to advocate for FP and i have a lot of support from partners including.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

I coordinate the family planning budget advocacy group with about 30 CSO. I ensure all members are equipped with FP updated information. i established a whats up group which i use 2 ensure that members discuss issues of FP but also get instant information on FP. In the eyes of policy makers made my self a face of FPCSOs. i act as one stop center for FP budget and policy information. i am now a reliable source of information for FP budget advocacy group members but also act as a link.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

The establishment of the FP budget advocacy group came with a number of demands including constant capacity building for members to ably and independently engage policy makers on FP budget and policy issues, the group now requires a website, the group requires to establish regional FP budget advocacy groups in the country. i will use that grant to strengthen the FP budget advocacy group by doing some of the above mentioned activities.
