Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

I have been working in the field of family planning to control over population with MSS. I am more focusing to provide good quality of Family Planing services in Rural areas . I have conducted lady health workers meetings, community field meeting to bring more awareness of FP in poor community specially. I have worked for empowering girls and women on the platform of Rotaract (Rotary) under their Health and Literacy Project in less privileged areas.I assure the best quality of services given to clients by provider on their own choice.Training the provider and field workers on updated FP knowledge and how to deliver it safely .

What sparked your passion for family planning?

Over population is one of the main cause of poverty ,I grew up in a community where people believed use of contraceptives causes Infertility ,children disability and Cancer. Women had no choice in determining the number of children they should have just because of lack of information ,misconception and access to contraceptives. My only motive to make them aware about contraception and its importance in healthy life .

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your family planning efforts, and what have you done to overcome it?

Limited information , facilities, funding ,man power about family planning,Cultural and religious norms which are not in favor of family planning. I have been mobilizing and educating community females to change these misconceptions, cultural norms about family planing ,by organizing seminars , community meeting at there own villages , counsel ther partners about the benefits of family planing for health mother and family because only a health mother can lead a healthy and happy family.

What is your (country/region/city)’s biggest challenge in family planning, and how can it be addressed?

The biggest challenge: Access to and use of contraceptives as we are facing Culture restrictions. It can be addressed by involving young people in designing, awareness of Family planing and reproductive health ,field mobilization, implementation of Family planing and reproductive health services , make them reach to nearest MSS FP centers for free consultation and FP services offered for community.
