He is Demographer with Masters Degree in Population Sciences. Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

I was one of the pioneers of Research Wing at Population Welfare Department, Punjab which initiated and mandated to improve quality of Family Planning and relative healthcare service delivery in Punjab the most populous province of Pakistan based on findings of research about family planning and general & reproductive health care. I am trained in demographic research and do research about one of the largest under-served priorities of the Government of Punjab province and recently is working effectively on research and development.
Moreover I have been associated in projects of world population foundation about advocacy of youth on family planning in Pakistan with pioneer NGO of FPAP working on family planning since 1953. I also practice research and analysis on family planning.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

I am a Demographer with Masters Degree in Demography from pioneer population research institute, Pakistan Institute of Development Economics-PIDE University,Being a demographer and lack of good knowledge about family planning particularly for young married women in Pakistan I am interested in such situation to sensitize young people of Pakistan about importance of family planning and to enhance practice of proper knowledge of reproductive health in my home country.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

Being in leading role for conducting research studies for family planning in punjab the most populous province of Pakistan I have developed leadership skills in family planning and presentation of situation of practices of family planning to government of Punjab.
Moreover I have interested to establish demography research centre to increase access of young people of Pakistan to family planning and reproductive health. I was also invited at the Oxford University UK for research in Family Planning

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

In absence of apps for easy and quick sources of information about family planning & reproductive health for young population of Pakistan i will use to research and prepare an app for mentioned. Moreover, I will use these funds for establishment of community led and school led groups for promotion and discussion on family planning which is properly unaddressed in Pakistan. I also interested to monitor progress in the field of family planning.
