Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

- Counselling and providing services to women on post patum family planning. For example, in 2018, I counselled over 1500 women with 1200 went home with either Janell, implanon, IUCD and BTL while the rest went home with mini pills and LAM.
- I became a champion in family planning in ensuring contraceptives access for women including outreach service, counselling and providing methods any time I counsel a patent and if she agrees to take any of the family planning method.
- I also go round to support other close by primary health care centers with on the job training, coaching and services expanding contraceptives access for women in our community.
- provide to nurse both within and outside my facility where I practice.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

- My passion for family planning is as a result of my parent's inability to meet up with basic family needs due to the high number of children (14) due to their lack of awareness of family planning and this affect our education as only the last three could go beyond secondary education.
- Also, in my career as a midwife, the rate at which women and children die during childbirth due to complications resulting from short intervals between pregnancies further motivated me to support women.

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

- initiated postpartum family planning counseling in our ante-natal clinic, counseling and service in our labor and delivery unit and ensured that women who deliver in my facility leave with a method of their choice
- I also train student midwives on how to counsel and provide services to women of child bearing. For example, implant and IUCD insertion using mama U and arm model.
- I also provide on the job training for my professional colleague to ensure that more women are reached.
