Describe your contributions to and achievements in family planning.

My experience with (Society for Family Health Ibadan, SFH) on an Adolescent project A360 where I served as a young designer under the M&E department where data is been validate, collected and entered into online database and goggle drive. I also supervises and monitor mobilizers and health providers for effective service provision of modern contraceptives, to sexually active adolescent girls aged (15-19 years). I am fortunate enough to have had an ample experience in the field of public health that I would bring to the grass root level in reaching the direct beneficiaries. Since I joined the A360 project on 15th of December 2018, I was able to record the total of 2425 Adoptors since inception of the project on the 16th of September, 2018 till 31st of May 2019.

What sparked your passion for family planning?

My passion for Family Planning was prompted by the way i see adolescent girls in my neighborhood mothering a child in their tender ages. These adolescents who get pregnant due to rape, unsafe sex, early sexual debut etc, and has little or no knowledge of protection against unsafe abortions, unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted infection (STIs).
This issue of Family planning is not only on adolescent girls, but also on young women who have little or no form of formal education. Thanks

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

• Support the general A360 programming through continuous provision of youthful focus and insights to the day-to-day running of the project.
• Responsible for the setting-up and monitoring of 9JA girls skill classes and sessions.
• • Support the conduct of all research activities for the A360 project; including periodic client exit and mystery client surveys.

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :

If i am opportuned to win this grant of $1000, I would first of all be grateful for the priceless privileged, then collaborate with a local NGO who works on Family Planning, on building a Youth-Centered Space for adolescents and young people for provision of health services. First, to leverage on their already built structure of service delivery on Family Planning. Second, is to help the local organization gain feasibility and build more on my capacity to deliver the service of Family Planning.
