What sparked your passion for family planning?

After 5 years still I remember the tears of my neighbor Fatima a 15 years old girl when she was begging his father in-law to allow her to go to school but his answer was “No because you are pregnant”. This early pregnancy killed all her future dreams because in my village talking about contraceptives was a taboo and its use was declared a sin by village Masque scholar. The tears of Fatima sparked my passion to promote FP and prevent young girls facing Fatima

Give one or two examples of how you display leadership in your family planning work.:

One main example is the establishment of a strong partnership with religious leaders on a sensitive topic which is FP in Afghanistan and mobilized the influential religious leaders from around the country to sign a national declaration in support of FP

If you are named a winner of 120 under 40, how will you use this new platform and the $1000 grant to advance your work? :
